About

Dawn Bouchard, CD(DONA)

Here is a little bit about me. (And just to let you know Grandma's make great doulas!)

I spent 12 years in the military and am the proud wife of a retired Coast Guardsman.

I am the mother of two wonderful children.

I have 3 grandchildren, twin grandsons born in June of 2005 and a beautiful granddaughter born in April 2005. And I am lucky to have them all close.

I am also the proud daughter of a mother who after suffering a stroke and a heart condition has come back and is the sole daycare provider for her great-grandsons.

I share my home with my husband, a parakeet and a wonderful little Blue Heeler named Sophie.

I have many hobbies: I do bead weaving, quilting, sewing, cross stitch, creative writing, crocheting and many other crafts. Whatever strikes me at the moment and sounds fun. My husband and I also volunteer at NW Trek Wildlife Park.

I became passionate about birth after attending the birth of my granddaughter.

After a few setbacks, like losing my home to fire, I have finally completed my labor doula course at Bates Technical college and have received my DONA certification. I am so excited about assisting women in this wonderful time in their life. After seeing the need for Antepartum doulas in our area I have decided to add this service to what I offer.
